          Steps to Lead a Happy Life
To be happy is something we all want to be, all the time. But often, we are upset over small, tiny, silly matters that sucks the life out of us! It stresses us out, and makes us gloomy. Would that solve our problems? No way! But what if you decide to turn things around; and is determined that you will remain happy no matter what! Then chances are you might find life a little more pleasant. You might even enjoy being happy all the time.
Try these 10 steps, for there is nothing to lose!
1. Believe in yourself - Others, not even your parents don't know the real you, the way you do. So it is crucial that you trust yourself with your happiness.Push negativity to a distance that it can no longer get back to you.
2. Start living - Day in and day out, we are reminded by-- untimely deaths, accidents, trauma, sickness and what not--that we have a very short life which might end sooner or later than expected. Life is unpredictable. Only we can decide how we want our life to be; is it happiness or is it gloominess that should rule our lives. So live your live to the fullest every single day!
3. Stop comparing -The minute you start thinking that another person has more or less than you have, it affects you and that too in a bad way. Some of your family or friends might have done much better. It doesn't mean that you have nothing. There are several people out there who might not even have the basic things you have.
4. Be Generous - The age-old saying that it is better to give than to receive, is true about happiness. When you share, you care. When you share, you are making another person happy. Won't that make us feel good? It will!
5. Your Happiness is Important - It is easy to say-- do only the things that make you happy. There are so many things which you want to do but you end up not doing it because you are scared that you might make others unhappy. Now would that make them better? Maybe, for a short period. But would that make you happy? Certainly not! You will regret it forever.
6. Free your Mind - Remember that happiness lies within you. If you can't open your mind towards happiness, how can others instill it in you? So come out of cocoon, and dare to be happy.
7. Be nice. Be kind - Yeah it is difficult especially if you are doing this for the first time. Just for a change, try being kind to someone on your way out from home. Be it to work, to school, shopping or going out for fun, just a tiny help -- a push, a gentle pat on the back, wishing someone, admiring something which others have--might absolutely lift someone else's spirits!
8. Be good to yourself and to others and see the change for yourself. Do not think that others do not need your support or help. We all do need a bit of help, don't we, although we might not say that aloud.
9. Take it Easy - Do not complicate your life. Sometimes some things just do not matter at all. Try to figure out what doesn't matter and stop fretting about it.
10.Limit your expectations - This might truly make you happier. When you expect things from other, chances are they wouldn't deliver the way you want them to, and that might depress you. Just minimize your perceptions and accept what is being offered. Remember to accept your family and friends the way they are, and be grateful for what you have.
